The Health Net Medicare Supplement plan G or any other company plan G is the same plan as a Medicare Supplement plan F, without the Part B (outpatient) annual deductible of $240 being paid for.
With a Plan G you are receiving a very comprehensive policy at a lower monthly premium to the popular Plan F. You can view the chart below and compare the different plans.
If you are concerned about “Part B Excess” charges (Plans C, D & N), you should read this. Plan G covers the Part B “Excess Charges just like plan F. When choosing the right plan, consider the monthly premium and any deductibles you may be responsible for, add them up and compare.
Health Net Medicare Supplement plans in California offers plans A, F, Innovative F and G. Innovative F is by far the most popular because of it’s very comprehensive rates and benefit structure. Plus it includes Vision and Hearing coverage.
The only difference is the $226 Part B annual deductible. Most shoppers are looking at the difference in premium between Plan F and G. If it is more than $240 annually, which is the amount of the Part B (outpatient) deductible, it makes sense to switch to the lower cost plan G.
Plan G includes coverage for Medicare Part A and B copayments and coinsurance, plus the Medicare Part A deductible of $1,600, skilled nursing facility care, 100% coverage of Medicare Part B excess charges, home recovery care and more.
What’s Covered:
- Medicare Part A deductible ($1,600, every 60 days).
- Medicare Part B copayments and coinsurance (generally 20% of Medicare approved charges after the $226 Part B deductible)
- Coverage for 365 more days of hospital care after the Medicare benefits ends.
- 3 first pints of blood per year.
- Skilled Nursing Facility care.
- Covers 100% of Medicare Part B excess charges.
- Home recovery care when Medicare approved a home care treatment plan.
