Part D Prescription Drug Coverage … Medicare part D Prescription drug coverage is available to everyone who has Medicare Parts A and B.  There are typically 30 Part D prescription plans in most counties.  The premiums typically range between $7  to $35 per month.

Part D Premiums may vary depending on the County you live in and some plans will include an annual prescription deductible up to $485, although many plans do not have this annual deductible.  Also, most will choose a plan from a different company than the one providing your Medicare Supplement.

If you have a Medicare Supplement plan, you will need to choose a stand-alone Part D plan, because prescription plans are not included with Medicare Supplement plans.  If you have a Medicare Advantage HMO plan the Part D Rx coverage is included at no extra cost.  Feel free to call or email anytime with your questions.
