Anthem Blue Cross Medicare Supplement G

Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans in California along with covering all medigap members across the U.S.

Be sure to compare plans: G, F, and N.  Each plan provides a different level of coverage, so be sure you understand how the plan works before enrolling.  You will also need to look into a Medicare Part D Rx plan.  Medicare Supplement plans do not include prescription plans.

Advantages of a Medicare Supplement …

You are able to see any licensed physician, specialist and hospital who accept Medicare.  You can see a provider anywhere in the U.S. as long as they accept Medicare.  That means if you live in a certain state, you can see any Medicare-approved doctor / hospital in any state.  Make an appointment and go, it’s that simple.

Comprehensive Coverage. Most Anthem Medicare Supplement plans provide very comprehensive care for the member.  Plan F for example offers 100% coverage for all Medicare-approved services.  You don’t pay for Hospital or outpatient care.  Plan G pays for everything except the Medicare Part B annual deductible which is $233.  Plan C is another popular plan which also pays all Medicare-approved charges except “Medicare part B Excess Charges.” You can read about these charges here.

Guaranteed  …

Be sure to take advantage of every “Open-Enrollment” or Guaranteed-Issue” period available to you.  The obvious ones are when your Medicare Part B starts (6-month window), and when you are coming off of an employer health insurance plan.  There are others, you can view them here

Remember, you can also enroll/apply to an Anthem Medicare Supplement policy anytime through out the year.  You simply complete the application send it back to me and I’ll do the rest.  If you are answering the “health questions” on the application, you will notice, Anthem doesn’t ask as many health questions compared to other Medicare Supplement companies.  So if you are looking at a moving to another Medicare Supplement company or plan, be sure to include Anthem in your review.

Don’t forget the Medicare Part D Rx plans …

You will also need to enroll in a separate Medicare part D Rx plan, which will help you pay for your prescription costs.  A good place to start you search is right here.  Simply email a list of your current medications along with the dosage and frequency.  I’ll enter the information into the Medicare system, to come up with the top 3 plans for your prescription list.  The results will show the best three plans for coverage and cost for your medications.  I will then email the results to you.  Here is a good place to start

Enroll Today, it’s Simple … I can email or mail the appropriate state application to you.  Simply fill it out (call me and I’ll walk you through it) fax it back to me, and I’ll do the rest to make sure the process is quick and accurate, and you receive your requested effective date.
