Why a Medicare Supplement Policy?
- Great coverage. Medicare Supplement policies typically have very comprehensive medical benefits. Plan F for example provides 100% coverage. No deductibles, copays or percentages when you see a doctor or hospital.
- Freedom of choice … With any medicare supplement you have access to any doctor, specialist or hospital in the U.S. who accepts Medicare. That’s over 95% of all providers nationwide. No networks to fuss with.
- The policy doesn’t change .. for the most part, medicare supplement policies do not change from year to year. On the other hand Medicare Advantage HMO plans change their benefits, doctor networks and rx coverage each year.
If you want the best, go with a Medicare Supplement.
If you are not yet on Medicare, beware, you will be receiving a flood of information from just about every Medicare Supplement company under the sun. Marketing brochures, fliers, letters and post cards, every imaginable marketing material will be headed your way. Save yourself some time, I can narrow the shopping and comparing process down to a few minutes.
You are also going to need to find a Medicare Part D Rx plan to help pay for your prescription drugs. I can also help you with finding the right plan. Personally I do not represent any of the Part D companies, but I help my clients find the best plan every year. It’s good to check the new Part D plans every year, because they can change quite a bit from year to year.
You can see any doctor or hospital when you have a Medicare Supplement Policy. One of the greatest benefits of a Med Supp is “access to care.” You are able to receive services from any doctor, specialist, lab or hospital who accepts Medicare. That’s about 95% of all medical providers. You don’t have any networks to worry about and no need for HMO style referrals to specialists.
